2021 Dr Loosen Wehlener-Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett

Since taking control of his family's 200+-year-old winery in 1988, Ernst Loosen has taken Dr. Loosen to new heights.

His commitment to quality has seen him revolutionise the way that Dr. Loosen approached their great vineyard holdings on the slopes and valleys of the Mosel. He insisted on lower yields, farming with organic sprays rather than chemicals, and a gentler approach in the winery. It was an approach that was ahead of its time and has seen Dr. Loosen rise to be one of the benchmark producers of this famous region.

The Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard ("Sundial of Wehlen") is one of the most famous vineyards in the middle Mosel. It's one of Erni Loosen's pride and joys.
