The 2021 Lamy-Caillat Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets is a flagship expression from one of Chassagne’s greatest terroirs, rendered with extraordinary precision by Sébastien Caillat. From vines planted in 1960 and 1982 on a steep, pebbly marl slope, this wine delivers all the power, purity and mineral grip you’d expect from this revered Premier Cru site.

Aged for 24 months on lees in the domaine’s cold, humid cellar and bottled by hand without filtration, this is as pure and artisanally crafted as white Burgundy gets. The vineyard’s shallow, stony soils lend the wine a driving tension and linear structure, with tightly coiled citrus and stone fruit layered over a chalky, savoury spine. Production is tiny - just 3,500 bottles per year - and every drop speaks to Sébastien’s meticulous, old-school winemaking and the character of this singular site.
