2022 Dicey Bannockburn Pinot Noir

This Pinot brings together fruit from a handful of Dicey family vineyards across Bannockburn, all farmed organically and handled with the no-nonsense precision that Matt and James Dicey are known for. The soils here are classic Bannockburn – wind-blown loess over schist – giving wines with a bit of grit and depth without losing their shape.

The 2022 season was mild and even, producing fruit with balanced ripeness and fine, natural acidity. Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in old French oak, it’s a straight, honest expression of the subregion rather than a polished statement piece.

It sits in that sweet spot between fruit and savoury – dark cherry, plum skin, a touch of thyme and spice – with fine tannins and a dry, clean finish. Solid, authentic Bannockburn Pinot made by people who know the dirt inside out.
