2022 Domaine de la Cras 'Cras' Bourgogne Blanc

This is the top white from Domaine de la Cras - a single-site Chardonnay grown on limestone-rich slopes just outside Dijon. It’s classified as Bourgogne Blanc, but the quality here is well beyond that tag. Marc Soyard brings the same low-intervention, organic approach to this cuvée as he does with the reds: wild ferment, minimal sulphur, and élevage in mostly used oak.

The 2022 vintage is beautifully pitched - tight and flinty up front, with citrus and green apple leading the way, but also a bit of texture and quiet depth from time on lees. There’s no fat or flash, just a wine that feels pure, focused and built to evolve.
