2022 Domaine Didier Dagueneau Vin de France Blanc Etc…

Once known as Blanc de Pouilly-Fumé, this wine now carries the rebellious name Blanc Etc… a quiet nod to Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau’s ongoing departure from the AOC system. The label may say “Vin de France,” but make no mistake: this is Dagueneau through and through.

Blanc Etc… is the most open and early-drinking cuvée in the range, but don’t mistake accessibility for simplicity. It’s a blend of four distinct parcels, including young vines on the Saint-Andelain hill and older plantings on both flint and limestone soils - bringing a beautifully layered snapshot of the region without tying itself to any one site.

The 2022 is a luminous, racy wine that hums with energy. It leads with citrus peel, crushed stone and a hint of almond meal, with just enough leesy texture to flesh out the wine’s mineral core. Fermented and aged in a mix of older barrels and steel, it’s a study in tension and purity.

This is the Dagueneau bottle you can drink while you wait for Pur Sang, Silex and Buisson Renard to blossom. A stunning introduction to one of France’s most meticulous producers - sans the appellation, but with every bit of the pedigree.
