Sourced entirely from the Biancavilla vineyard, the fruit grows between 700–800m above sea level, where cooler nights and sandy, decomposed lava soils offer natural freshness and fine, layered structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2023 vintage is made mostly from Nerello Mascalese with a touch of Nerello Cappuccio. About a quarter of the fruit is fermented with whole bunches, with fermentation split between steel and large-format neutral oak. Elevage is long and gentle: 18 months in mostly large (2,000–4,000L) French and Austrian oak vessels before blending and bottling.
