2022 La Croix de Brully Chassagne-Montrachet

This is a standout release from a young domaine that's fast building a name for clean, precise white Burgundy with proper structure. The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet is drawn from sustainably farmed parcels on classic limestone soils, and it shows all the hallmarks you'd hope for - freshness, depth and that quiet drive Chassagne does so well.

Fermented with native yeasts and raised in mostly older oak, it's a measured, finely built wine. No flashy oak, no overworked texture - just crisp citrus, white stone fruit, a bit of flinty reduction, and a long, mineral finish. It’s got the bones to age but is already showing plenty of charm.

There’s no shortage of top-end Chardonnay in this part of the Côte, but few deliver this much clarity at this price. Definitely one to keep an eye on if you’re looking beyond the big-name domaines.
