2023 Francois Chidaine Touraine Sauvignon Blanc

Francois Chidaine is best known for his incredible Chenin Blancs, but he also has a knack for making Sauvignon Blanc that punches well above its weight. The Touraine comes from vineyards he farms biodynamically, along with fruit from trusted growers nearby, all handled with the same careful touch.

The 2023 vintage is lively and pure, fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel and left on lees just long enough to add a little texture without losing freshness. It’s bursting with citrus and grapefruit, a gentle floral note and that signature Loire Valley minerality that keeps everything tight and focused.

This is a great example of what makes Loire Sauvignon Blanc so appealing – bright, precise and easy to drink, but with enough depth to keep you coming back for another glass. Chidaine manages to give it polish without stripping away character, and at this price it’s one of the smartest buys in the region.
