2023 Giulia Negri Langhe Nebbiolo

Giulia Negri has carved out her own space high in the hills above La Morra, making elegant, fine-boned wines that reflect her thoughtful, almost minimalist approach to Barolo. Her Langhe Nebbiolo comes from younger vines on the same marl and limestone slopes as her Barolo parcels, handled with the same care but built for earlier drinking.

The fruit is destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, followed by a gentle élevage in large old oak. The focus is on finesse and clarity rather than extraction – showing Nebbiolo’s perfume and texture without the weight of a full Barolo.

The 2023 vintage has that classic Giulia Negri balance: red cherry, rose and spice with fine, chalky tannins and a clean, tapering finish. It’s fragrant, precise and almost effortless - we loved it.
