2023 Moorooduc Estate Pinot Noir

Moorooduc Estate has been part of the Mornington Peninsula landscape since the early 80s, when Richard and Jill McIntyre planted their first vines. Still family-run and very much hands-on, the estate has built a reputation for making Pinot Noir that feels classic but never overworked.

The 2023 Pinot brings together fruit from the home block and a few neighbouring sites, giving a nice mix of Mornington’s soils and aspects. In the winery, it’s all kept pretty simple – wild ferment, gentle handling, and French oak used carefully so the fruit stays front and centre.

What you get is a Pinot that’s bright and aromatic with just enough savoury depth to keep it interesting. It’s a wine that’s ready to enjoy now but will only get better with a bit of time in the cellar. Straightforward, delicious and very true to both the vintage and the Moorooduc style.
