2024 Cascina delle Rose Langhe Nebbiolo

As one of the Langhe’s true organic pioneers, Cascina delle Rose's post-WWII estate holds immense standing among fine wine insiders who value purity over heavy extraction. Their Langhe Nebbiolo is always a masterclass in varietal honesty. Sourced from younger vines and lower-altitude valley parcels, this cuvée bypasses wood completely, spending about nine months in stainless steel to lock in its brilliant, youthful energy.

The 2024 release is a flat-out joy to drink. It leaps from the glass with a highly aromatic perfume of crushed roses, wild strawberries and sweet baking spice. In a region where Nebbiolo can often feel heavily structured, this is refreshing, light on its feet and remarkably approachable.

The palate delivers a succulent core of red cherry and raspberry, effortlessly balanced by a fine, silk-grained network of tannins. A distinct crack of white pepper and savoury green herb complexity lines the mid-palate, leading into a long, mouth-watering finish.
