2024 Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Chardonnay

Bruce Dukes has always had a knack for overdelivering, and this Chardonnay from his Discovery range is a perfect case in point. It’s sourced from vineyards in the cooler south of Margaret River and handled with the kind of precision usually reserved for wines at double the price.

Wild fermented, matured in French oak (a small portion new), and left to rest on lees for added texture, it’s a Chardonnay with plenty going on. Citrus, white peach, a little creaminess and nutty detail, all balanced by that telltale Margaret River line of acidity. It’s not trying to shout – just quietly confident and spot-on in style.
