Vintage after vintage, Holm Oak produces some of the best value for money Pinot Noirs in Australia. You simply cannot help but admire how much flavour and vivacity it packs in such a delicate number. It has moxie. It's the Little Engine That Could.

So, so pale in the glass. There is something about it which is just immediately enticing. Maybe it's the fragrance coming from the wine, maybe it's the knowledge that this is only the tip of the iceberg.

But the second you taste it you're utterly whisked away. It's very much a dancer, with delicate flavours of berries, spice and herbs flitting hither and thither. You can't help but smile.

"The colour is a light crimson pink, but don’t let that fool you. This is a Pinot of great poise and structure with deep and layered intensity. The aromas are all about dark cherry with a little spicy raspberry lift. The palate is soft, sublimely supple and gradually opens to reveal a complex maze of strawberry, truffle and spice. And on top of that, you won’t find many better Pinots for this price. A cracker."
