The wine was raised in a large, neutral French oak foudre to keep the fruit and site at the centre of the story.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s an especially expressive release and the richest of the last 4 years in our opinion: violet, blueberry and a smoky, lifted spice on the nose; juicy blue and black fruits on the palate, threaded with orange rind, anise and a dusting of tannin so fine it’s almost suede-like. There’s muscle in the wine, but it’s reined in by Lambert’s feather-light touch.
