2024 Punt Road Pinot Gris

Punt Road’s estate-grown Pinot Gris is one of those wines that delivers far more than you expect for the price. The 2024 release comes from their Coldstream vineyards, where the cooler pockets and mix of soil types help the variety hold freshness while still developing flavour.

Hand-picked fruit was wild fermented in a mix of stainless steel and older French oak, then left on lees to build texture and weight. The result is a dry, quietly layered style — pear and apple at its core, a little citrus lift, and a subtle savoury note from the lees work. The palate has enough shape to make it food-friendly, but stays bright and clean enough for easy drinking on its own.
