2024 TarraWarra Estate Chardonnay

TarraWarra has been part of the Yarra Valley’s fabric since the early ’80s, quietly nailing classic styles while keeping things low-key. The cellar door’s stunning, the art gallery’s impressive, and the wines have always walked that fine line between polish and drinkability.

The 2024 Chardonnay is a notch racier than last year’s – cooler conditions and a longer ripening window have dialled up the energy and detail. It’s got that classic Yarra mix of citrus and white peach, with just enough texture from the barrel work to fill things out. Nothing too flashy, just clean, expressive fruit with a bit of edge and drive.

And like the previous vintage, there’s no separate reserve wine this year – all the best fruit ended up right here. That means you’re getting the top gear, but at the same easygoing price. It’s crisp, balanced and genuinely hard to stop drinking once you start.
