2024 Te Kairanga Estate Pinot Noir

Te Kairanga’s 2024 Estate Pinot Noir shows exactly why Martinborough has such a strong claim as New Zealand’s Pinot heartland. The fruit comes off a mix of mature estate blocks, each bringing something different – bright red fruit from the lighter soils, darker, spicier tones from the heavier ones.

Fermented in small open-top tanks and matured in French oak (about 20% new), it’s made with a gentle touch to let the vineyard character shine. The result is a Pinot that’s fragrant and detailed – red cherry, plum and a little baking spice, with some earthy, herbal notes underneath.

The palate walks that classic Martinborough line: medium-bodied, silky and savoury, with fine tannins giving shape to the fruit. There’s balance here, not showiness – just a quietly assured wine that feels true to its place.
