2025 Express Winemakers Chenin Blanc

Express Winemakers is all about Ryan O’Meara letting the fruit and the land guide the style, and this Chenin Blanc is a great example of that philosophy. The grapes come from a unique Mount Barker vineyard planted almost 30 years ago – the only Chenin block in the Great Southern – farmed with care and picked for freshness.

In the winery Ryan keeps it simple and hands-off. The 2025 was naturally fermented, left on lees for texture, and bottled without any unnecessary tinkering. The result is bright and zesty up front – green apple, citrus, a little stone fruit – with a savoury, chalky edge that gives it shape. There’s plenty of acidity to keep it fresh, but also enough weight to make it food-friendly.

It’s pure, honest Chenin, made with a light touch and a focus on drinkability. A ripping drink.
