2025 Patrick Sullivan Camp Hill Chardonnay

This is the first time Pat has bottled Camp Hill as a standalone single-vineyard cuvée, and it’s a site that deserves the spotlight.

Located at the highest point between the Strzelecki and Great Dividing Ranges, this tiny half-hectare plot sits at 250m on rocky, red volcanic soil. The exposed, north-facing position gets plenty of air circulation, which Pat notes helps manage disease and naturally concentrates the fruit character.

This is a tightly coiled, mineral-charged Chardonnay. There’s a core of ripe nectarine and white peach on the nose, complemented by a subtle saline note through the spine. Because those roots have to penetrate such rocky ground, there’s a real mineral edge that adds definition right through the mid-palate.

It’s a textured, energetic Chardonnay with a long and precise finish. We reckon this is a brilliant debut for the site, offering a wine further on the nervy, volcanic end of Pat's Chardonnay spectrum that perfectly complements the rest of the range.
