2025 Ricca Terra Vintners Fiano

Fiano is on the up and up at Ricca Terra. For years, they've been growing the stuff for some of the country's most popular new-wave labels like Unico Zelo. Now, they are finally holding back a few choice parcels to bottle under their own name, and the result is brilliant.

Grown in a warm, dry climate where the variety naturally thrives. In the winery, the juice undergoes a natural ferment in old French oak barrels, building a really nice textural weight into the wine without letting any wood flavour get in the way of the fruit.

It is an absolute guzzler in the best sense of the word. You get ripe stone fruit and a clear hit of citrus pith right off the bat, backed by a savoury whiff of basil and sea spray. On the palate, it’s refreshing and highly textural, walking a great line between fun, smashable drinkability and something a little more serious.

It’s exactly the kind of white you want sitting in the fridge ready to go. It’s hard to think of a time when this wouldn't hit the mark.
