2025 Wickhams Road Yarra Valley Pinot Noir
Few producers can deliver Pinot Noir with as much value and character as Hoddles Creek, and the 2025 Wickhams Road Yarra Valley Pinot Noir is a perfect example of their skill.
Crafted from Upper Yarra fruit, including experimental blocks from the Hoddles Creek estate, this Pinot is made with much more care than you'd think possible at this price. A 20% whole-bunch ferment adds fine tannins and subtle spice, while 20 days on skins builds texture and complexity.
The wine opens with aromas of dark berries and a hint of savoury spice. The palate is smooth and juicy, offering black cherry and plum flavours with bright acidity and a clean, polished finish. It’s versatile and approachable, equally at home with food or on its own.
A thoughtful and balanced Pinot Noir which hugely over-delivers in the value for money stakes for the region.

"Lithe and slippery in the mouth, the fruit deftly weighted and polished. Athletic rather than muscular, tapered by microfine tannins."

"It has an unusual level of gravitas for a $20 wine, and pretty much, I’d say, it would be hard to do better than this at this price point.
