2021 Ata Rangi Kotinga Pinot Noir

Planted entirely to Dijon clones (115, 667 and 777), Kotinga delivers a burst of red fruits – cherry, currant and plum skin – laced with juniper and citrus zest. The palate is sleek and driving, supple tannins and fluid acidity giving it a racy edge. It’s a wine that feels alive in the glass, playful in youth but built with the structure to develop beautifully over the next decade.

Winemaking is sympathetic and precise: 40% whole bunch, wild fermentation, and élevage for 11 months in a single 2,280-litre French oak foudre, designed to highlight the brightness and crunch of the Dijon fruit.
