2022 Domaine de la Cras 'Cras' Bourgogne Rouge

This is the flagship red from Domaine de la Cras - an estate bottling from vineyards just outside Dijon, farmed organically and worked by hand. Marc Soyard has been shaping this site since 2014, bringing serious grower energy and a whole-Burgundy mindset to what’s technically still Bourgogne-level wine.

The 2022 ‘Cras’ comes from older vines on the domaine’s best slopes - high-altitude, limestone-rich, and full of potential. It’s made with a decent chunk of whole bunch, wild fermented, and aged in mostly used oak. The result? A Pinot that’s layered, savoury and properly structured. It’s got that Soyard stamp - lifted aromatics, tension through the palate, and tannins that are fine but firm enough to age.

This isn’t “great for a Bourgogne” - it’s just great Burgundy, full stop. If this vineyard were 20km further south, you’d be paying twice as much.
