2022 Gran Cerdo Tempranillo

Gran Cerdo (Spanish for "Big Pig") is a legendary middle finger from winemaker Gonzalo Grijalba to the bank executives who refused him a loan. He made it anyway, and it has since become a global icon for honest, value-driven natural wine.

The 2022 is Tempranillo in its most naked form - no oak, no filtration, and pure fruit at its core. By using whole-bunch fermentation in stainless steel, Gonzalo keeps the fruit "pulpy" and primary, letting the vineyard's vitality lead the way.

It is a brilliant cherry-red in the glass, bursting with strawberries, raspberries, and a distinct mineral edge. Juicy and unpretentious, it’s a wine that punches well above its weight and is dangerously easy to drink.
