The Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Cabernet is classic Margaret River Cab at a very friendly price. Sourced entirely from the estate’s dry-grown vines planted back in the early ’70s, it’s a wine that punches well above its weight in character and pedigree.

You get all the good stuff here - dark berries, cassis, a touch of mint and chocolate on the nose. The palate follows through with ripe blackcurrant and cherry, balanced by fine tannins and a gentle wash of cedar oak. It’s got the structure to go a few more years in the cellar, but it’s drinking beautifully now, especially with a quick decant.
