2023 Fontanet Les Terrasses Rouge

Fontanet is a small, family-run estate in the hills of the Languedoc, producing wines that are honest, generous and built for the table. Les Terrasses is their classic southern French red – a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan grown on sun-baked limestone terraces around the village of Puichéric.

The 2023 season brought warm days and cool nights, perfect for slow, even ripening. The fruit was harvested by hand, fermented in concrete and aged briefly in tank to keep the wine bright and fresh. Nothing fancy here – just clean fruit, gentle handling and a focus on balance.

It’s medium-bodied and easy to drink, full of red and black fruit with a little spice and earth in the mix. Soft tannins and a smooth, dry finish make it a natural fit for grilled meats, pizza or anything you’d eat outdoors with friends.
