2024 Jean-Louis Chavy Bourgogne Blanc

The Chavy family has been in Puligny-Montrachet for over two centuries. Jean-Louis started estate bottling in 1986, and son Paul has since joined the operation, bringing the domaine into its next chapter with the same clear focus on purity and precision.

The Bourgogne Blanc draws from five plots sitting right on the boundary of Puligny and Meursault - not your average village Bourgogne fruit source.

Winemaking is restrained and classic: whole bunch pressing, natural fermentation, no battonage, and minimal new oak. Jean-Louis has largely moved away from new barrels, keeping the emphasis firmly on the fruit and the site.

The 2024 is aromatic and mineral, with good density and a clean finish. Serious value for what's behind it.
