2024 Josep Grau Volador Blanc

Josep Grau farms his vineyards organically in the rugged hills of Montsant, just southwest of Priorat, making wines that balance Mediterranean warmth with a clear sense of place. Volador Blanc comes from old vines grown on limestone and clay soils, mostly Garnacha Blanca with a touch of Macabeo and other local varieties.

The fruit is hand-picked and fermented naturally in stainless steel to keep the wine fresh and lively. A short period on lees adds a little texture without taking away its brightness. The focus is always on purity – nothing flashy, just honest farming and simple winemaking done well.

The 2024 release is clean and aromatic, with stone fruit, citrus and a faint herbal note that gives it lift. It’s dry and textural but easygoing, a proper table wine that’s as good with food as it is on its own.
