2024 Mitchell Watervale Riesling

The Watervale Riesling from Mitchell Wines is filled with a whole lot of bang for your buck.

The wine has been crafted in the exact same traditional way as when it was first released back in 1977 - hand picked fruit, careful treatment and low levels of tinkering in the winery, fermenting with natural yeasts and left to sit on it's lees for an extended period of time.

All things that make Clare Valley Riesling great are present in this wine - refreshing, electric citrus notes, delicate florals, fantastic balance and little hints of minerality. Gorgeous stuff at an insane value price!

"The vibrant jasmine and white peach aromas of this youthful dry riesling leap out of the glass at you. Great concentration and purity on the totally focused, medium-bodied palate. More than enough juicy peach fruit to balance the glistening samurai-sword acidity that powers the very long, wet-stone and lime finish. Already delicious, but also has great aging potential. Drink or hold. Screw cap."
