2024 Tar & Roses Heathcote Shiraz

Tar & Roses got its start in the mid-2000s when Don Lewis and Narelle King partnered up after their winemaking adventures in Spain and Italy. Don’s passing in 2017 was a true loss for Australian wine, but Narelle has carried on beautifully, keeping their Mediterranean-inspired vision alive and tasty.

Their 2024 Heathcote Shiraz is a great reminder of why this range feels so genuine. Sourced from Heathcote vineyards, it’s made with both regional character and accessible charm in mind. The wine’s dark fruit is generous but grounded – think black cherry, plum, a whisper of spice – and held up by just enough freshness and fine tannin to stay balanced.

A perfect bottle for a Sunday afternoon feed, and terrific value!
