2025 Commune of Buttons Gloria Pinot Noir

Gloria is the single-vineyard Pinot Noir grown on the Buttons' Basket Range property.

Jasper Button's winemaking skills continue to evolve and his gains in this discipline are no more pronounced than in the purity he is showcasing in his Pinot Noirs. This was fermented in large open-top Jarrah fermenters, aged for eleven months in old oak, then sent to stainless steel to settle before bottling.

As with all of his wines, minimal intervention in the winery is the modus operandi. The only whisper of sulphur was added just after malo to ensure the wine's stability.

This is a charming Pinot Noir with a gentle, elegant feel.

"This is a concentrated wine with cranberry-led acids, satsuma plum, black cherry and graphite. Sumac and toasted cumin. It's lifted, high energy, and has a botanical, earthy spine. Flatbreads, wood-fire roasted lamb and pomegranate certainly wouldn't hurt as a pairing."
