Shaw + Smith’s M3 Chardonnay has been setting the standard for Adelaide Hills Chardonnay for over 20 years. Sourced mainly from their Lenswood vineyard, it’s all about balance - powerful but precise, complex yet effortless.

Winemaking is kept classic. Hand-picked fruit, whole-bunch pressed, and straight to French oak for fermentation and nine months’ maturation. The focus is on purity and expression, with nothing getting in the way of the vineyard’s natural character.

"A fine, flinty, tense and taut chardonnay set to a leaner expression. Still, it dials in enough peachy fruit, tart citrus freshness and lithe nougat notes, with touches of green herb and cinnamon spice in tow. That reads like a good and long list, and it is. The wine offers drinkers a more refreshing, fine expression, with minerality as a byword. Very polished, too. Neat."
