2025 Timo Mayer Close Planted Pinot Noir

Timo Mayer's Close Planted Pinot Noir comes from his tightly spaced estate vineyard just south of Healesville. The vines here are forced to compete and work hard, which naturally limits yields while building serious density and fine structure into the fruit.

This is the only Pinot in Timo's lineup to see a touch of new oak, adding a bit of depth without getting in the way. Given the riper conditions of the vintage, the whole-bunch component sits at around 25%, keeping the wine focused and elegant rather than overtly stalky.

You can feel the warmth of the year in the glass. It delivers classic close-planted concentration, leading with dark cherry, sweet-edged raspberry, and a hint of forest floor. The palate is plush and generous with real drive, tapering off to a long, slightly firm finish. It's a highly sought-after release that rarely lasts long on the shelf.
