Toro Albala Oloroso NV 500ml

Awesome Oloroso, the style of sherry aged oxidatively (often outdoors). They carry extra alcohol, and often, but not always, some sweetness.

This example from Toro Albala is from a 100 year old solera and the average age is 15 years. It is bottled unfortified as the natural ripeness of the sun-drenched Pedro Ximenez grapes provides ample sugar.

It's plush with Oloroso's signature nutty caramel tones but layered with orange zest, sweet brown spice and closes with a smoky, salty twist.

Oloroso will keep for months once open so no need to commit to the bottle, something to open and savour a little at a time.
